POWER OUTAGE - MISSIONVALE AND SURROUNDING AREAS

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality wishes to inform residents that a 6kV circuit breaker has tripped at the Struandale / Ysterhout mini substation, resulting in a power outage affecting the following areas:

* Vista
* Balfour Heights
* Missionvale and surrounding areas.

Our technical team has been dispatched to assess the situation and carry out the necessary repairs. Power supply will be restored as soon as it is safe and technically feasible to do so.

POWER OUTAGE – SOWETO AND SURROUNDING AREAS

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality wishes to inform residents that an 11kV circuit breaker has tripped at the KwaMagxaki, Soweto 2and 3 substation, resulting in a power outage affecting, Soweto on Sea and surrounding areas.

A technical team has been dispatched to carry out investigation and necessary repairs.

WATER SUPPLY DISRUPTION - CHELSEA ZONE & KWANOBUHLE

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like to inform residents that the Loerie bulk water pipe experienced a burst over the weekend, which has since been repaired.

When the system was reopened, a mechanical fault on a valve was discovered, which resulted in reduced water flow. This caused a drop in reservoir levels.

Municipal teams have since resolved the issue, reopened the line, and restored supply to the reservoirs.

Water supply is expected to return from this morning and continue being restored throughout the course of the day.

A technical team has been dispatched to carry out investigation and necessary repairs.
