LOAD REDUCTION FOR KWANOBUHLE.
Wednesday, 18 September 2024.
The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality wishes to inform residents that two-hourly load reduction has been implemented in the following areas in order to reduce the load in the KwaNobuhle:
16:00 - 18:30
Group 3: Mbengashe 1 and 2, Majola, Billie and Seneli.
18:00 - 20:30
Group 1: Makuleni, Dabaza and Dlala.
20:00-22:30
Group 2: Mqolomba, MR6 and Matebese.

The NMBM would like to advise residents that due to a power failure in the area, the Kwanobuhle Customer Care centre is affected and currently has limited/to no capacity.
Teams are investigating and will rectify the problem as soon as it is possible to do so.

UPDATE ON PLANNED MAINTENANCE SHUTDOWN ALONG CHURCHILL PIPELINE
Work on the Churchill pipeline has been completed and teams have started filling the line again.
It is however a large pipeline that has to be filled, therefore the system will only be back to full supply by tomorrow, 18 September, with water being restored from midday.
Areas that may be affected include:
1. Coastal suburbs of NMBM
2. ?Blue Horizon Bay
3. ?Beachview
4. ?Walmer 7th Avenue up to 17th Avenue
5. ?Walmer Township
6. ?Parts of Walmer Heights
7. ?Walmer Downs
8. ?Charlo
9. ?Overbaakens
10. ?Newton Park
11. ?Parts of Fairview
12. ?High lying areas of Schauderville
13. ?Mangold Park

REMINDER
16 September 2024
On Monday the 16th of September, Eskom will switch off electrical supply to the Nooitgedagt water treatment works from 9 to 11 and again from 15:00 to 17:00.
This is required for maintenance to their supply line. It is not envisaged that this short shutdown will cause water disruptions.
Residents will be notified if there are challenges.
